Do you permanently live in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland?
Sorry, our online service won’t be suitable for you as we don't provide trusts for customers that don't live in the UK.
You’ll now be asked a few questions about your circumstances, and who you want the proceeds from your policy to be paid to. We aren’t giving you advice on which trust is suitable; we are simply providing you with one of our trust forms based on the answers you give.
You’ll then be able to:
- Enter the names and email addresses of the settlor(s) and any trustee(s) you want to add.
- Complete the relevant sections of the trust form.
- Get all parties (including yourself) to sign the document electronically.
- Return the signed form to us automatically where we will record the details on your policy and return the original document to you for safe keeping.
Please note:
- Our trusts are basic and it’s up to you to decide if the trust selected is suitable.
- It’s always important to carefully consider if putting the policy into trust is right for you, because once you’ve done it, you can’t change your mind later on.
- Our Online Trusts tool is only designed to be used with our Protection policies. If you have one of our older penny policies, an RNPFN policy, or an Investment Bond, Flexible Guarantee Bond or With Profits Bond with us then the tool won’t be suitable.
- If you are in any doubt at all you should seek specialist legal advice.
- As we’re unable to give you financial or legal advice, you shouldn’t use our trusts if your financial arrangements are complex.
- This deed is deemed to be in writing and the use of an electronic signature is deemed to be a signature.
- Every person must sign in the presence of a witness, who also signs and adds his/her full name and address. The witness must be physically present in the same place at the time the document is signed by the person. This applies even if the document is completed using our online service.
Are you happy to proceed on this basis?
Sorry, it's not possible to continue with this service. We recommend that you seek your own professional legal advice.
